Siderno and surroundings

Siderno is located on the Jonian coastline of the province of Reggio Calabria. It is a modern seaside town with two beautiful miles of seaside promenade across the city. The seafront represents a definite landmark for many tourists who visit the city in summer, from which they can admire the vast panorama that stretches from Punta Stilo to Capo Spartivento. The waterfront, which connects the beach all the way to the city, is rich in vegetation with flowerbeds and gardens; in summer it dresses up in sober colors and scents and gives you the feeling of home. The beach in Siderno has a different tone of sobriety. It is equipped with basic emergency, catering and security services. The numerous private beaches alternate with free beach spaces for the same extent. The city has an urban structure characterized by wide streets and large squares and is developed in almost all sectors of the economy with various industrial, modern, and public business activities and first-class shops.

Siderno offers its visitors a variety of natural views: the green is emphasized by the blue of the sea and the scent of zagara and jasmine flowers is unmistakable. Siderno's seafront, with its 18,000 inhabitants, is the largest and most populated town of the Jonian coast (from Reggio to Catanzaro), in the center of Locride. The seafront is 3 meters above sea level while the ancient village is at 194 metres.
