Montepaone Lido

At around 7 km, towards the Ionian coast, you meet the modern and funniest Montepaone Lido. Up to about 30 years ago it was a tiny fraction of a railway station, a bar, a grocery store, a few houses and a little church, built in 1928 by Giovanni Catuogno, from Naples to administer the latifondo.Oggi, now provided with a post office, bank and municipal delegation, has become a tourist center with good hotel and hospitality facilities which in the summer attract a large number of Italian and foreign tourists.
