Santa Maria del Cedro and its surroundings

The cedar coast stretches for about 30 km, where you can spend whole days traveling for museums, castles, churches and art galleries and spend the evenings having fun in a water park or in one of the many gracious locales. The communes that are on the coast are: the municipality of Tortora, from which you can see the island of Dino, whose steep walls end with a series of caves. The island, which faces Praia a Mare, is embedded in the legend that Ulysses has approached these parts. The village of S. Nicola Arcella rises over the sea, a few kilometers away. From its highest point, the gaze spans from Capo Scalea to Maratea, on a panorama of so many wonderful little bays and beaches. Along the beautiful and jagged coast, the cave called the Arch of Magno. A few kilometers away another famous resort welcomes tourists from all over the world: Scalea, the capital of the Cedar Riviera .. Suspended as it is between heaven and earth , the entire town of its old town is entirely connected by sculptured stone stairs. In the town of Majerà, the world's only museum, the Chimpanzee Museum, was born.City of art due to the murals dotting the old town, Diamond is home to the National Chocolate Academy. Harvested on a beautiful cliff, the town territory is known in Europe as the country of murals, the country of the noses up; and includes the village of Cirella, the island of Cirella, the amphitheater, the ruins deserve more than just a visit.
