Trevi and surroundings
Trevi is the City of the Oil, the Slow City, the Bio City, the Orange Flag of the Touring Club, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and has obtained the Emas environmental certification. The suggestive old town "blesses" a sea of ??olive trees, 200 thousand plants that stretch the hollow arms of the hills: real "monuments" to the ulivated landscape, which for Trevi represents an identity trait. That is why, almost inevitably, Trevi is unanimously considered the "oil capital". The city lies on the extreme promontory of Mount Serano and is one of the most lively communities in Umbria from the point of view of the development models compatible with the traditions and culture of the place. It is an authentic "widespread museum" for a thousand art, nature and landscape expressions that are found in every part of the city.
Trevi offers naturalistic trekking between the town and its coasts, until you arrive at stops at the accommodation facilities and farmhouses in the olive grove. There are suggestive walks along the path of the olive trees or the Franciscan path to the discovery of the grasses of the hill and the sites that preserve them. Along the olive grove you can still see the "sparse olive groves", rural settlements dating back to 1400-1500 testify to the olive culture and the history of the place, both peasant and bourgeois-noble, but also fascinating rural churches. Climbing to the locality of Coste, the itinerary allows you to visit the church of Saints Peter and Paul (13th century) and from there, along a convenient path, those of Santa Maria del Carmine (17th century), Santa Maria di Pelano XIII century) and again, descending, Santa Maria in Valle and Sant'Andrea (13th century) to reach San Pietro al Pettine (13th century). These "small" artistic-rural gems merge with the great works art that man, over the centuries, has left in Trevi.
Walking through the historic center you can go to the discovery of the medieval town to know its history through the main squares, the architecture of the palaces, the churches and the pictorial works. From Villa Fabri, a splendid manor house overlooking its gardens on the Spoleto valley, the small Clitunno Theater to enjoy the fin de si
