Bellamonte and the surrounding area

In the homonymous hamlet of Predazzo, Bellamonte lies in the valley of Fiemme, in the Eastern Trentino, at the foot of the majestic dolomitic peaks and surrounded by pristine forests. It was once considered the "hay mountain" of Val di Fiemme. Today it is a sought-after tourist destination both for the huts at the foot of the Lagorai chain, and for the amazing sunsets on the Pale of San Martino. Bellamonte is a must-see visit to the incredible collection of farm tools and antique objects housed in an ancient tabià (barn), the Grand Gustavo Museum. The Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia ski lifts carve the boundaries of the Paneveggio-Pale Natural Park San Martino, famous for its spruce forest, called "spruce resonance", because it is used to make harmonic boxes of musical instruments.
