Andalo and surroundings

Set between Paganella (mt 2125) and Piz Galin (mt 2442, the characteristic top of the Brenta Dolomites group overlooking the Andalo country) is the natural connection between the valley of the Giudicarie Esteriori and Anaunia. Placed on a broad saddle, has a particularly fragmented structure. Historically Andalo was divided into 13 different masses: Ponte, Perli and Melchiori, on the left bank of the river Lambìn, Clamer, Fovo, Monech, Bortolon, Casa Nova, Dos, Tuscany on the right bank, towards Fai della Paganella. Cadìn, Ghezzi, Pegorar towards Lake Andalo. These masses have come together with the rapid development of the country since the postwar period.
The traditional architecture of Andalo's houses (still visible in some of the older buildings) is made up of the lower part of the masonry-glazed building, up to the first floor; the top all in wood, divided into two or three shelves serving for the laying of hay. The roof of scandorle (or shingles), kept still from large stones.
The geographic location of Andalo (MT.1041) is strategically located on the plateau of Paganella: it is located at the meeting point between the state n.421, avenue that from Anaunia leads to the Giudicarie and the provincial nr.64 coming from the Adige valley through Fai della Paganella and the Passo Santel (mt.1030).
The centrality of the Brenta and Paganella area makes the Andalo country an ideal starting point for a wide range of excursions. From the village you can take the path that leads to Pradel, and then towards the most famous peaks of the Brenta group, but you can also take trails and walks on Mount Paganella.
THE LAKE OF ANDALO
On the side of state road 421, west of Andalo, down to the Sporeggio valley, passing through Cavedago and Spormaggiore, you can see Lake Andalo, a periodic lake of karstic origin infused into a basin, the surface of which can vary considerably of precipitation and feeds through the Rio Lambin the largest lake in Molveno.

Titolari gentili.

Cameriera molto gentile.

Cibo ottimo e abbondante.
