The Pongwe Bay Resort is located in Zanzibar, on Pongwe Beach on the northeast coast, one of the most beautiful coasts of Tanzania, a true natural paradise, ideal place to spend a wonderful holiday or an unforgettable honeymoon.

Surrounded by lush gardens where bougainvillea, frangipani, croton and banana trees are the setting for rooms overlooking the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean, the Pongwe Bay Resort is a boutique resort decorated in a warm and elegant mix of Swahili and colonial style.

The resort is about forty minutes by car from Stone Town, the capital of Zanzibar.

Here you can enjoy the freedom of walking barefoot on fine sand roads and you will experience the luxury of relaxation as the expression and contact with nature.

The Pongwe Bay Resort only has suites, starting from the 40 sqm of junior suites up to the 60 square meters of the two master suites. The rooms are elegantly furnished in Swahili style, with wooden furniture crafted by local artisans and refined Arab fabrics. All beds are king-size beds with Egyptian cotton bed linen & Rivolta Carmignani Italian manufacture and deluxe Simmons mattresses.

All rooms offer a magnificent patio and a private terrace from which there are views of the resort's gardens or the sea, where you will spend priceless moments of relax reading a book or sipping a cool tropical cocktail.

At the BAHARI LOUNGE restaurant of Pongwe Bay Resort, overlooking the beach, the amazing variety of flavors of the Swahili cuisine is masterfully interpreted by our master chef and his staff, combined with a Mediterranean flavor, a legacy of his years working at prestigious European and Italian restaurants before returning home and becoming probably the best Zanzibar's local chef.

Everything from the crisp morning toast to the delicious desserts, fresh pasta bread is baked on site. The fish and the vegetables are always fresh because they come from fishermen and carefully selected local suppliers. Our sommeliers are on hand to recommend one of the excellent wines from our cellar, or fantastic tropical cocktails.

For something special, treat yourself to a romantic dinner or a grilled fish on the beach in our Kibanda, while watching the nightly reflections of the moon on the sea, in a very intimate atmosphere, between the torches lights just turned on for you.

The soft-all inclusive package offers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the tables and soft drinks are included.
