LE VILLE DELLA CONTEA

Màscali is an Italian municipality of 13,864 inhabitants in the province of Catania in Sicily. The current urban center, built in the 1930s, some years after the destruction of the former inhabited, following the 1924 lava eruption, is crossed by Strada Statale 114 is centrally located to Giarre and Fiumefreddo of Sicily, about 30 km north of Catania. The circumference measures about 23 m and is 19 m high, given some studies, it would be the second tree for antiquity and grandeur in Italy. Interestingly, the visit to the ridge of Raca della Naca, where the eruptive mouths opened from which the lava broke out the country. In the coastal area near the border with the municipality of Fiumefreddo lies the Gurna, a small wetland residing in a larger area that until the last century before the reclamation, extended along the Ionian coast, from the Macchia stream to the mouth of Alcantara. This palatial area, fueled by the waters of resurfacing coming from the northeast side of Mount Etna.
 Mascal tourism is mainly summer. During the beautiful season, the beaches of the Fondachello hamlet are invaded by tourists, and interesting events are organized in the main square.
