Senigallia

The city of Senigallia is one of the main tourist resorts in the Marche region. Every year it invites visitors from all over Italy and Europe. The beach of Senigallia is known as Velvet Beach due to its soft sand.
The old town of Senigallia has a Roman urban layout. Visit the archaeological excavations in addition to the precious religious and civil architecture. Since June 2006, Senigallia hosts CaterRaduno, the summer event of the very popular radio broadcast of Radio 2 Caterpillar, conducted by Massimo Cirri and Filippo Solibello. The event is of great importance at national level, and attracts numerous listeners to the program in the city. During the event, there are live radio shows from the "Velvet Beach" with numerous musical events, varieties and theatrical performances.
