An enchanted place that unites pristine coastal pearls with the magic of the mountains: its gulf, together with the Gennargentu massif, is a regional park. Orosei is a small town in the Baronie of seven thousand inhabitants, nestled in the Cedrino valley, two and a half kilometers from the sea. The economy is based on agriculture, marble mining and, above all, accommodation facilities and tourist services. The coast, beautiful by day and animated by summer nights, is twenty kilometers long: white sand alternating with cliffs. The desire to dive is irresistible on every beach. Like in Cala Liberotto, 11 kilometers from the center, an emerald-colored bay beloved by surfers and diving enthusiasts and characterized by lovely beaches with emerald sea, such as sas Linnas Siccas and sa Curcurica. Behind emerges the pond of sos Alinos, habitat of resident and migratory birds. Not far away is Cala Ginepro, with soft sand mixed with smooth pebbles. The historical center of Orosei is dotted with churches - 17 consecrated ones - including the baroque parish church of San Giacomo, celebrated on July 25th, the church of the Souls, with a wooden pulpit from the 18th century, and the church of Sant'Antonio, with frescoes from the 1400s, next to which on 16 January the fires of St. Anthony Abbot light up. In the festivals the flavors of the sea stand out with an exceptional dessert: the seadas sprinkled with golden strawberry tree honey.
