Switzerland - Zurigo

Zurich
Zurich is Switzerland's economic and Training Centre. Located in the heart of Europe, the city offers all the comforts of a cosmopolitan metropolis, but without losing its naturalness. Zurich has been one of the world's highest quality cities for many years. Zurich is a boutique city: it has everything you need, but in a small and refined format.Zurich is state-of-the-art: not only Dada, but also the Freitag bags and the world-renowned "Helvetica" logo come from Zurich. Today the innovation comes from researchers of the renowned Federal Polytechnic (Eidgenössische Technischen Hochschule, ETH) and from companies like Google and Disney Research. Thanks to one of the largest arts university in Europe – the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK) – creativity is guaranteed and the institutions such as the Kunsthaus, the Haus Konstruktiv and the Museum für Gestaltung make it so that nothing ends up in oblivion.Already in the early Middle Ages Zurich was a thriving commercial hub. With the reform in 1519, the economy gained further value, so that Zurich quickly became Switzerland's financial hub. And it still is. For this reason, the SNB has its headquarters in Zurich and the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse is still one of the most luxurious shopping streets in the world.
The Zurich people do not only eat birchermüesli and "Züri Gschnätzlets". They are truly cosmopolitan and love refined dishes from all over the world. The trends are immediately created with creativity, in a tasty and art-friendly way. A widely recognised commitment: Zurich boasts one of the highest densities of stellar restaurants per inhabitant in Europe. The traditional osterie, Street Food festivals and pop-up restaurants are also popular and popular. At the ZURICH food festival, which takes place every year, you can taste many specialties.

The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge-dam.The name alemanno of the island of Richenau was Sindleozesauua, but it was known simply as the island Ow or island of Auua, the name was latinized in Augeas to become Augeas felix, or Augeas Rich, from which Richenow or Richenau. In 2001 the island was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list thanks to the homonymous Abbey located there, the cathedral (dedicated to the Virgin Mary and St. Mark) and the two churches of St. George and Saints Peter and Paul. Freiburg
Freiburg im Breisgau, 215,000 ab.) is the main city of the Black Forest, the most famous and picturesque tourist itinerary in the Baden-Württemberg region and among the most visited in Germany. The monument that attracts the visitor most for its majesty and beauty is the Münster, the Gothic cathedral with the impressive bell tower finished around 1330 and 116 meters high. The farmers 'and Artisans' Market takes place from Monday to Saturday and there is another attraction of the city, the Kaufhaus. Built between 1520 and 1532, this building was intended for merchants who used it as a storage space for salt and wine. The red façade, remodeled in the 19th and early 20th centuries, was enriched by the sculptor Hans Sixt von Staufen with a collection of coats of arms and characters to pay homage to the House of the Habsburgs. From 1947 to 1951, the Kaufhaus has hosted the regional Parliament of Baden (Baden-Württemberg born in 1952, with Stuttgart, the capital). The Old Town Hall, built between 1557 and 1559, is now the seat of the Tourist Office. The new town Hall was built between 1896 and 1901 by connecting and turning of two renaissance buildings that long had housed the administrative offices of the University, founded in 1457 and today is still an important institution of the city (over 25,000 students). From the tower of the new central wing resonates every day at 12: 00 a music box. Of the ancient city walls and its gates, have survived to our days, the Schwabentor, the upper door or the Swabians, the Martinstor, the gate of San Martino, dating back to the XIII century, a period in which Freiburg was endowed with its first walls, and the Breisacher Tor: the building on the corner of Rempartstraße and Gartenstraße, is the only structure that remained to witness of the fortifications-baroque, built under the French occupation starting in 1677. In Franziskanerstraße there is the Haus zum Walfisch (whale House, 1516), where Erasmus stayed from Rotterdam from 1529 to 1531. Walking in the streets of the Old Town you can see the Bächle, of the narrow canals where the water flows. They were originally designed for water supply and to keep the city clean. Today they create a pleasant atmosphere and are loved by adults and children. A popular legend says that anyone who inadvertently puts a foot in one of the Bächles is destined to return to Freiburg.

And with the Bourbaki Panorama, which stretches over a length of 112 meters, Lucerne has one of the few circular monumental works preserved all over the world.
